Dr. Rebecca Godwin

Rebecca Godwin is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Piedmont University. She received her PhD in Entomology from the University of California, Davis. Her research centers around the taxonomy and phylogenetics of trapdoor spiders. She teaches a number of courses ranging from introductory biology to invertebrate biodiversity. Her interests include evidence-based teaching and facilitating inclusion and accessibility through universal classroom design. She is committed to increasing societal scientific literacy and creating healthy and inclusive spaces for undergraduates of underrepresented groups to experience and participate in scientific research.
